Ratfish oil has been revered above all other fish oils by Norwegian Vikings and Scandinavian fishermen for centuries. The very rare and uniquely handcrafted oil – produced from ancient principles given to us from nature – has shown remarkable properties through lab testing and usage.
Rosita Ratfish Liver Oil contains a wide spectrum of naturally occurring fatty acids, fat soluble nutrients and antioxidants. It is an exceptionally rich source of naturally occurring biologically active alkylglycerol lipids. It lubricates, protects and de-calcifies with deep penetrating properties on/in very demanding surfaces and systems.
Its naturally high content of antioxidants also gives it a very long shelf life.
No heat or mechanical devices are used to extract this oil, only nature’s ancient principles.
Ratfish – chimaera monstrosa – is one of the oldest fish species known. It contains substances and DNA found in mammals, sharks and fish. The liver of the ratfish accounts for more than 60% of its total weight. The ratfish (also called rabbit fish) is not the same as skate fish or ghost shark, and is not even closely related to these species.

Handcrafted, extra-virgin Rosita Ratfish Liver Oil™ will retain its full nutritional quality and flavour for a very long time after harvest, especially if stored properly. ROSITA guarantees that your bottle of Ratfish Liver Oil will be fresh upon purchase, because we bottle our oil in very small batches.
Light accelerates the rate of oxidation, causing oil to go rancid more quickly. For this reason, our oils are packaged in small dark glass bottles. These are best stored in a cool, dark, dry place, away from direct sources of heat and light. Care should be taken to immediately recap the bottle after each use. Opened bottles should always be stored in temperatures below 4-6 degrees Celsius (39-43 degrees Fahrenheit). Rosita Ratfish Liver Oil™ can be frozen for long term storage. The oil may become thick and cloudy when refrigerated or frozen: Gently shake before use.
Testing has shown that vitamins and other substances found in Rosita Extra-Virgin Ratfish Liver Oil™ are not affected by freezing and remain completely intact.
In order to prevent contamination and degradation of the oil, please ensure that you do not touch the dropper, or allow it to come into contact with any other objects.
