Third Wave Nutrition BCAA is an abbreviation for branched-chain amino acids, ie. the branched amino acids leucine, isoleucine and valine. They are 3 of the 9 essential amino acids. These amino acids play an important role in the body in terms of protein synthesis and energy production.
BCAAs are responsible for the largest amount of essential amino acids in the body (35-40%) and are also present in high muscle concentrations (16%).
Leucine is an important amino acid for stimulating muscle building. Intake of 2.5-3 g of leucine per meal is a prerequisite for activating this process.
Isoleucine is number two because it improves glucose metabolism and increases glucose uptake into the muscles.
Valine is the third amino acid and interacts with leucine and isoleucine.
Different concentrations of BCAAs are found naturally in foods, highly concentrated in animal products.
Vegan BCAA (branched-chain amino acids)
Combination of Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine in 2:1:1 ratio
BCAAs are found in high concentrations in the muscles
Suggested use
The individual need may vary depending on, among other things. one’s diet and physical activity. Start eg using a dosage of 5 grams of powder mixed in 300 ml of cold water or juice. Shake gently in a shaker or stir the powder with a spoon in a glass of water or juice to avoid foaming, as the foam may have an undesirable off-taste. Can be taken before, during and after training.
Ingredients
Vegan BCAA 2: 1: 1 (L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, L-Valine), emulsifier: sunflower lecithin, malic acid, natural citrus flavor, sweetener (steviol glycosides)
