Organic Road Certified Organic Besan Flour is made from milled organic chickpeas. Also known as garbanzo flour, it is grain free and nut free. Traditionally used in Indian breads and pastries such as pappadums, it acts as an excellent binder and can be used to replace eggs in savoury recipes such as in burgers. It’s also a great wheat free thickener in any savoury dish.
To make simple gluten-free thin wraps, whisk together equal parts Organic Road Besan Flour and water with a pinch of salt so it’s the consistency of a thin pancake batter. Add more water if needed. Then just cook as you would a crepe – finish with some avocado, tomatoes and sautéed greens for a delicious snack!
