This product is part of a collection that encapsulates connection to country and incorporates some of Australia’s most significant bush foods that are incredibly special and have been traditionally used by First Nations people for thousands of years.
The Strawberry Gum tree is native to the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales and is renowned for the unique, sweet berry aroma and taste of its leaves. Australian Indigenous people would often chew on the leaves or place them over the fire to release the oils inside to treat stomach issues. Strawberry Gum leaves have a wonderful sweet, fruity and slightly acidic taste with notes of strawberry and passionfruit.
All of the Australian Bush Flavourings are infused with the uniquely fresh, fruity and slightly tropical flavour of Elderflower. Elderflower is a herbaceous or woody shrub that blooms small, white, delicate flowers which are known to be rich in flavonoids and has been commonly used to treat colds and flus.
Together these two bush foods make a deliciously fruity and exotic fusion of flavours to enjoy in teas, on top of desserts, in baked goods or whatever suits your needs. Creativity is key!
